Immediately, the two, together with the new police, start searching the whole town. Surprisingly, they bump into the said man while they are on their way to the land in question. Ildefonso informs them of his plan to back out from the case; and immediately he also tells them the story he learned from a former inhabitant in Sitio Hulo, Tata Selo. It is revealed that a couple died on the said land while Donya Anita's men were relentlessly throwing them away 30 years ago.
