Nightclub comedian Jerry Webster was a widower with a small son, Sandy. He purchased a farm in the San Fernando Valley to be a base of operations for him and a home for Sandy. The farm was managed by divorce Sue Kramer who served as governess for Sandy and romantic foil for Jerry.
