Against the Grain (1993)

Set in a small Texas town, Ed Clemons, a former star football player turned insurance salesman, takes on the job of coaching the high school team. Ed's wife Maggie enters the work force for the first time and their son Joe Willie comes under scrutiny as the team's new quarterback.
