The series continues the story when a meteor carrying a single-cell organism from outer space crashes in the Arizona desert. The heroic foursome -- Dr. Ira Kane, a professor of chemistry and biology; Dr. Allison Reed, a ranking official at the Center for Impending Disaster (C.I.D.); Harry Block, a geology teacher and volleyball coach; and Wayne Green, a seventeen-year-old fireman in training -- reteam to protect the Earth.
