Australian Gladiators (1995) Channel 7 has announced the Gladiators line-up and confirmed Tom Williams and Zoe Naylor as hosts of the television arena spectacular. "I'm looking forward to plenty of action and gutsy performances from all the Gladiators," says Tom. "The Gladiators are the most athletic group of people I've ever seen in my life. Viewers at home will be amazed by their power and athleticism." Taking on the might of the Gladiators, and competing to match their strength and gamesmanship, are the Challengers. Chosen from around the country after undertaking gruelling physical and strategic testing, they'll be pitted against the Gladiators in a series of iconic games, including favourites the Gauntlet, Hang Tough and Pyramid, as well as introducing never-seen-before games. Set in a spectacular 21st century arena, the show promises to be the best mix of sport and entertainment. "The arena feels like a modern day Colosseum and it has a mighty atmosphere to match the explosive games being played between Gladiator and Challenger," adds Tom.
