Two teams, each composed of a celebrity captain and a noncelebrity contestant, compete. One member of each team is placed in a soundproof isolation booth and the sound is turned off in one of the cubicles. The object is for the booth player of the other team to guess a phrase that his partner spells out, letter by letter, on a large board. When the phrase is identified, the other team competes in the same manner with the same phrase, with the object being to identify it in a shorter period of time.The team that scores the least amount of overall time is the winner and the contestant receives merchandise prizes. Later revised as "All Star Baffle" wherein four celebrities played the exact same game for selected members of the studio audience. |
