Series that features fights between BattleBots, homemade remote-controlled mechanical robots in a variety of weight classes that fight to the "death" in a 48' by 48' "Thunderdome-like" arena constructed of shatterproof glass rising nearly 20 feet. This "Battlebox" features traps, bumpers, sledgehammers and pop-up weapons designed to incapacitate any "Bot" that ventures too close to them. The series previews with a behind-the-scenes look at the robots and their creators/operators. The series premieres with a battle from the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion in San Francisco. |
