Between the Lions (2000)

A children's series that mixes music, stories, animation, live-action and puppetry to motivate and teach kids to read. A family of lions -- Theo, Cleo and their cubs, Lionel and Leona -- runs an unusual library, where books, words and story characters come to life. The library is also home to Click the Mouse, an overworked computer mouse; Cliff Hanger, the hero of one of Lionel's favorite comic books, who escapes from sticky situations by using his literacy skills; Tiger Words, a multi-talented sports figure who plays with consonants and vowels; and Fred Newman, an all-around talented person who performs comedy, music and sound effects.
