Boone (1983)

The series, set in Trinity, Tennessee, in 1953, tells the story of Boone Sawyer, a seventeen-year-old boy who yearns to become a singer, but faces resistance from his mother, who wants him to be a preacher, and his father, who feels that his son should follow in his footsteps and become a mechanic in the family gas station. Boone's experiences as he attempts to make a dream become a reality are the focal point of the program.
