The series, set at the San Diego Naval Training Center, presents a satirical look at Navy life as seen through the experiences of C.P.O. (Chief Petty Officer) Steve Sharkey, an acid-tongued, 24-year-veteran who has waged his own private war against the changes that constitute the new Navy.
