Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967)

During an exploration of the planet Mars, the Mysterons, its inhabitants, misconstrue a visit by Spectrum, an international organization established to safeguard the world, as an unprovoked attack and declare a war of revenge on the Earth.Seeking a companion to their cause, the Mysterons contrive an accident that claims the life of Spectrum Agent Captain Scarlet (named, as all agents, after the colors of the spectrum). The Mysterons, able to recreate any person or object after it has first beendestroyed, restore the life of Captain Scarlet. Captain Scarlet, however, fails to fulfill their expectations, and becomes instead their indestructible enemy.Episodes depict Spectrum's battle against the never-seen Mysterons' war of attrition.
