Caroline in the City (1995)

Lea Thompson ("Back to the Future") stars as Caroline Duffy, a successful cartoonist in Manhattan whose eclectic friends are sometimes the subjects of her comic strip. Her best friend, Annie (Amy Pietz, "Muscle"), helps her stay in focus while her convoluted relationship with colorist, Richard (Malcolm Gets, "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle"), also keeps her guessing. Through it all, Caroline maintains a funny outlook on life that only inspires her hilarious comedy for her cartoon strip.
