Citizen Pinoy

TFC's first U.S.-produced talk show that discuss frequently asked questions about U.S. migration.

Citizen Pinoy (2005)

Most Filipinos have friends or relatives who have immigration concerns. They may be residing in the US or still sweating it out in the Philippines, waiting for their numbers to be called or their documents to come through. And while there are those who can afford lawyers, there are those confident enough to work on their papers themselves. Others may not even know who to talk to, or where to go to seek for help.

ABS-CBN Global's The Filipino Channel (TFC), the first Filipino network to beam its 24-hour network to major territories in the world launches another show tailor-made for the needs of Filipinos of the world. From the heels of Kumusta Kabayan (KKB), Balitang Middle East (BME) currently airing on TFC and ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), Global proudly presents Citizen Pinoy.

The program's tagline says it all: your passport to immigration information. Raffy Lopez, Senior Vice-President of ABS-CBN Global, Ltd and Managing Director of North America Operations is confident about their U.S. production. He believes that, 'The market has a need for content that is relevant to the lives of Filipinos in and leaving for the U.S. As the dominant Filipino broadcast media company, we have made it our goal to fulfill this need and Citizen Pinoy is the first step in this direction because it addresses real issues that they face today.'

Even in its global operations, ABS-CBN, through TFC, provides this stage for engaging talk that highlights topics relevant to our kababayans in the US and the Philippines.
