Set in New York, this series follows the experiences of two divorce lawyers: Charlie Howell and his female partner Sydney Guilford. The two succumb to their mutual attraction, but find that a long-term relationship will not last. They are joined by fellow partner Eli Levinson, as well as legal secretary Denise Iannello and Jeffrey, the office messenger.
