| | Crash Test Dummies (2007) In the sleepy town of Dummyworld, two men in orange boiler suits are about to push a double-decker bus swaddled in sheets of bubblewrap over a cliff... Welcome to the weirdly loveable world of comedians Dan Wright and Steve Marsh, living the dream as real-life crash test dummies. Their mission is to destroy the so-called indestructible, defeat the so-called invincible, tear up the instruction manual and see what happens when the brakes are off. Each programme in this ten-part series follows one week in the lives of Dan and Steve, two twentysomethings with a troubling fascination for bubblewrap. Together they live in Dummyworld, in the house on Crash Test Corner. There are no other humans in their village - just dummies, one of whom is Jake, Dan and Steve's long-suffering partner and deadpan fall guy. And when there are technical details the dummies don't understand, Brian Blessed's voice from on high will fill them in. Over the series, the trio will get up to a range of stunts, including firing a tank shell at a bulletproof vest, sending a waterproof tent through a car wash, dropping an ice-cream van on a trampoline and playing conkers with cars. This is a whole new take on the world of gadgets and health and safety, in a cross between Brainiac and Little Britain. It's a crash test dummy lifestyle with no limits...
