These are few of the remarkable characters brought to life by Philippine Cinema's action prince Rudy Fernandez which will again be seen starting July 18 as his array of top caliber films air once more on "Da Boy sa ABS-CBN".

ABS-CBN received the local free TV and international broadcast right to 71 titles from Rudy's film collection after an agreement sealed last December 2007 with the late action star himself and wife Lorna Tolentino.

"Da Boy has always loved his craft, he was committed to it and he was very proud of all his works. This is why we are very glad that the people will again see his movies which became the reason why he was loved and admired for so long in the industry," Tolentino said.

Fernandez entrusted his movies to ABS-CBN because he believes that the network will have a good job of sustaining his legacy and promoting his films to his fans here and abroad.

Fernandez started acting when he was three years old.

He appeared in "Luksang Tagumpay" in 1956.

The movie was directed by his father Gregorio Fernandez.

It was in 1970 that the young Fernandez decided to plunge into showbiz. He was then a student at the University of Sto. Tomas.

After playing teenybopper roles, Rudy made his breakthrough as an action star in the movie "Bitayin Si Baby Ama" in 1976.

His career soared high until he did his last film "Hula Mo Huli Ko" with Rufa Mae Quinto in 2002.
