Known as 'Hell's Gate', the government has built a wall around it to prevent people from entering it and from discovering its secrets. The phenomena also coincided with the emergence of humans with supernatural powers. Known as Contractors, these humans are used by nations around the world as secret agents and spies. Devoid of emotions, they are the perfect weapons to carry out deadly missions supported by 'Dolls', emotionless mediums mimicking the form of humans to perform reconnaissance work. Hei is an elite Contractor and guiltless killer, working undercover as a student from China. With an organization known as 'Syndicate', he is searching for his sister Bai. Hei is able to generate deadly electrical charges and is being pursued by the Japanese government for his alleged involvement in multiple assassinations. Hei is joined by a cat called Mao, a Contractor who lost his body and is now trapped in its form of a cat, but is able to possess other animal bodies. They are supported by a 'Doll' named Yin, who locates assassination, targets for the team and uses water as the medium for reconnaissance missions. Guiding them from 'Syndicate' is Huang, a human field supervisor with no special abilities and who does not like Contractors. |
