| Day Off (2005) In the newest channel that is meant to change how we view life and all the necessities of surviving it, there is an innovative show that is ready to give its audience not only entertainment, but also a day off. Okay that may sound strange but it is true. Take it from the host herself. Carmina Villaroel describes Day Off, as a cross between GMA Network's Wish Ko Lang! and Extra Challenge. This is only a sample of the innovative shows that QTV Channel 11 has in store for its excited audience. A lucky individual who is honest and hardworking will be given a “Day Off” by the show. It will not only try to help people who deserve to be given a break, it will also be a highly entertaining program, as can be expected if it is hosted by Carmina and funny man, Pekto. The wacky duo will take turns in filling the shoes of the employee for a day while the other gives the guest a day off that she or he will never forget. And if the fans of Carmina wish to see a different side of their idol, here is certainly their chance. The host-slash-actress is very much excited about her new project. “Matagal ko nang gustong magkaroon ng Public Service show, ‘yung makakatulong ka sa tao,” she stated with a winkle in her eye. She further said that this is something that she has never done before but is very much looking forward to doing. “Iba yung feeling na napapasaya mo yung ibang tao,” Carmina added. For a busy career woman and mother like her, what would she like to do on her day off? Her answer is simple. “Definitely with my kids, with my family. Siguro yung the usual na lang namin. Pinaka-family day namin Sunday. We go to the mall, kumakain sa labas.Malling, arcade. Or pag nasa bahay kami, nanonood kami ng DVD.” Carmina is more than ready to face the “jobs” that she has to do for the show. She says that as long as the job has nothing to do with cockroaches (a fear that is understandable), she is up for any task.
