Given its tiny redecorating budget, Design Remix may be the most extreme makeover show ever created. Fun and fast-paced, this series shows how easy it can be to add dramatic style to a room for next to nothing. First, the contents of the room to be redone are dumped — albeit gingerly — onto the front lawn. Next, a designer, work crew and the homeowners themselves remake the same room using some of the discarded pieces plus surprises from other parts of the house. When the dust settles and the magical transformation is revealed at the end, something else becomes clear. And that's the beauty of teamwork. It's amazing what a difference a fresh coat of paint — plus some good old-fashioned critical thinking — can make. |
