Anthony, your comment regarding what you think will be the effect in case CJ Corona is acquitted by
the Senate trial is so one-sided! You're saying that Corona should be declared guilty by the
Senate just to save the face of your adored and worshipped president? I am not pro-Corona but
watching how the impeachment has transpired, and how ABS-CBN is again monopolyzing and molding the
Filipinos' way of thinking, I say you are not a worthy media and someday you will answer to a
higher power.

Dapat

We never knew here in Sorsogon that there was a complaint filed by Provl. Board Member Becky Aquino
before the Ombudsman against Gov. Raul lee, etal in relation to the fertilizer fund scam. But it is
never a puzzle to us why it took the ombudsman to file a case against the governor because the
governor's wife, former governor Sally Lee is known around here as a very close ally of the
former president Gloria arroyo. Now it is clear to us already why it took about six years for
Gutierrez to act on Becky Aquino's complaint. Gutierrez indeed sat on it for a long time. Now,
it's payback time for all corrupt politicians here in the province. Tago na kayo. Thanks
anthony and Gerry for giving time to this comment.

Subject: Molino 3 Traffic

Hello Gerry and Anthony. Keep the heat going.
I would like to raise an observation, being a concern
citizen and a loyal taxpayer. I am working abroad and only come here for a rest and be with the
family every 6months. But I always see the same deppressing scenes in our area.

This is about the
traffic light in Daang Hari and Molino 3 intersection. These traffic lights were installed roughly
almost 2years ago, but it seems that the longest time this were observed to be working is on the
first 2months after it became operational. Well, we have another set of White Elephant from our
hard-earned tax contributions.
Instead of the traffic light, a traffic enforcer will stay in the
middle of the intersection during rush hours (take note, only during rush hours, at pag walang ulan,
according to my wife who ply the route everyday).
Is the traffic enforcer more consistent than the
traffic light sequence and timing? I dont think so. Traffic lights are programmable based on the
time of the day. If the volume is heavy during rush-hour, the transitions can be programmed a little
longer....and these are preset's in the traffic light controls.
It's like we have a
mercedes benz in our backyard, but we are using it for display.....until it is wears and cannot be
used anymore.....sana walang yumaman dito...haaayyy.

This is one the reason why the volume of
traffic in Molino3 and Daang Hari intersection is always heavy, especially during rush hours.

Without the traffic light working, the number of traffic enforcers increased. Is it fair to
turned-off the traffic light to justify the existence of "heavily-populated" traffic
enforcers in the stretch of Molino3?

Jeepneys, jeepneys and jeepneys....the mostly undiscipline
drivers on our roads. It is very clear in the eyes of eveyone that they are the one causing
slow-traffic in Molino3..... Are they being properly disciplined? A big NO.
Most of the jeepneys
are paying the traffic enforcers with cash, right in our very eyes (too bad...I dont have a video to
catch those who care less). The collection starts at sundown, at the areas in Jollibee intersection,
Emilus and UPHR bottleneck, Shell intersection. It is just so rampant.
If the jeepneys will only
stop at designated areas, then we will have a smoother traffic flow in Molino3 during rush hour. I
cant blame those enforcers who don't even know how to managed traffic, magkano lang ba naman
ang kinikita nila.
The biggest concern here is, as a citizen is:
a) why we have a spanking
brand-new traffic lights that are not working, there are CCTV's mounted, but who knows if those
are working.
b) why jeepneys cannot be disciplined as they swerved and stopped anywhere as they
wish?
c) why we have so many traffic enforcers in Molino3, but their population is not
proportionate to a significant impact to the traffic flow? Probably because

See it for yourselves
fellow tax payers. Such basic community management task and functions cannot seem to be accomplished
by the community officials and leaders, then what will we expect on the bigger issues of the
country.

It seemed to be a good
move.
Pilipinas?

Respectfully Yours po,
Marlon Mercado

Subject: Advocacy against plastic bagsRating: 2 stars

Anything we throw is defined as waste.
Plastic bags are often blamed for the flooding due to
clogging of sewers and canals, or eventually harm marine life if it ends up in the oceans. The
important question here is... who threw it there?
The fact of the matter is that some government
officials take the easy way out - and that is banning a product that had given us convenience,
rather than tackling the real issue, and implementing existing laws on anti-littering, and waste
segregation.
In fact, plastic reduces our carbon footprint. It takes less energy to produce, to use
(lighter during transportation) and to recycle compared to any of its alternatives.
More
importantly, the plastic bag industry provides jobs to Filipino workers during these hard economic
times and contribute to government through taxes.
Do the advocates present alternatives to those
who will loose their jobs and the families who depend on this?
Responsible use and disposal is the
key to our solid waste problems. Banning is not the solution unless a viable alternative is
presented for the transport of our goods and finally the disposal of our waste in a sanitary manner.

If we can implement a recovery system, we will allow the recycling industry to flourish and this
means jobs for our Filipinos.
The government, industry and the NGOs should work hand in hand to
promote the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

I wish Malacanang would be consistent with their policies. They're removing non-CESOs and

there was no mention of their reply to the letter dated 30 July 2010 of the Civil Service Commission
which opined that "presidential appointees to positions in the Career Executive Service (CES)
as enumerated and defined under (3), Sec. 7, Chapter 2, Subtitle A, Title I, Book V of E.O. 292
