Echo Beach

When the Marrack family move back to Polnarren after twenty years, they discover that bitter rivalries still exist, in the form of the Penwardens. But loyalties are put to the test when the younger generation want to follow their heart.

Echo Beach (2008)

Set in the fictional Cornish coastal town of Polnarren, the show is centred around Susan Penwarden (Martine McCutcheon), and her ex love interest Daniel Marrack (Jason Donovan). Other characters include Mark Penwarden played by Hugo Speer, and Fin Morgan, played by Johnny Briggs.

External scenes were filmed in Looe on Cornwall's south coast and Watergate Bay on the north coast, among other locations. Although initially intended to be shown on ITV2, straight after Moving Wallpaper on ITV1, the decision was made to have both on ITV1.

The theme song is a cover of Martha and the Muffins' "Echo Beach" by Gabriella Cilmi.
