Great Ghost Tales

This series of ghost stories was the 1961 summer replacement for The Ford Show Starring Tennessee Ernie Ford. Each of the plays was produced live in New York, something of a rarity for a dramatic show in the early 1960's.

Great Ghost Tales (1961)

The last regularly scheduled TV series to be broadcast live in the U.S. was hosted by Frank Gallop, and featured dramatizations of ghost stories and other tales of the supernatural, many of which were adapted from stories by famous authors like Conrad Aiken and Edgar Allan Poe.
