Greenstone

Set in New Zealand in 1838, a headstrong Maori princess, Marama, is torn between two lovers -- the empire-building English lord, Sir Geoffrey Halford, and a defiantly independent gun runner, Sam Markham. The ensuing clash of cultures and conflicting passions are played out against the backdrop of a war.
