Gunsmoke (1955)

"Gunsmoke" is the longest-running scripted series in TV history, lasting for 20 seasons and more than 600 episodes. The life of Marshal Matt Dillon and the residents of Dodge City helped usher in the era of westerns on TV, and by the time it went off the air in 1975, it was the only one left.
