Hard Knocks (1987)

A comedy about a pair of mismatched private eyes who wreak havoc in New York City's worst neighborhoods. Gower Rhodes is a die-hard liberal and Nick Bronco is a cross between "Dirty" Harry Callahan and G. Gordon Liddy. Together, they do anything to get their man. The problem is they usually don't. In the premiere episode, "Play 'Mr. Tambourine Man' For Me," Gower finds out that his girlfriend is a psychotic killer.
