Dave Hart, a 41-year-old lingerie salesman buys a broken-down Nevada ranch called Flying Tumbleweed in Sholo, Nevada. He convinces wife, Alison, and his children L'Amour, Zane Grey and John "Duke" Wayne, to join in when he decides to follow his lifelong dream to become a cowboy. When the family arrives at the ranch run by ex-convict Jake Tyrell they discover that it needs a lot of work.
