Alma's penpal Alexander comes to visit Horseland, but Alma is afraid to meet him because he is an extremely talented rider and comes from a rich family while Alma is a lower-class, ordinary girl. Alma takes advice from Chloe and Zoey on how to improve herself in order for Alexander to like her. When he arrives, however, everyone begins to realize he may not be as great as Alma described.
