The first season won an Emmy (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series - David Shore for episode "Three Stories") and received four other nominations (Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Main Title Design, and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Dramatic Underscore)).
