| | I Am KC (2008) Four stories, four directors and four different leading men packed in one very special drama anthology for the month of April! With this line up alone, you'd know that KC Concepcion is indeed the hottest thing in showbiz these days. And following the success of her first dramatic appearance in Maalaala Mo Kaya is her birthday gift to herself and her avid fans: I am KC. In this show, KC shares her versatility by offering comedy, light romance, fantasy and a musical, which everyone in the family will surely enjoy. In "Bb. Palengke" (March 29), under the direction of Wenn de Ramas, comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas brings out the wacky side of KC with Jake Cuenca as her love interest. In "Yes Sir" (April 5), directed by Andoy Ranay, she is a career woman who will learn many lessons on life from her boss portrayed by Albert Martinez and her boyfriend played by Luis Manzano. In "Times Up!" (April 12), under the direction of Jerry Lopez Sineneng, she will turn back time to change her murderer into a better man, with Makisig Morales and Zanjoe Marudo as her co-stars. In "Love 2 Dance" (April 19), directed by Johnny Manahan, KC will dazzle you with her dance moves together with Supah Papalicious Vhong Navarro.Whew! And these are just mere glimpses of what's to come from KC. Contrary to what other people might say, KC considers her birthday project a big deal for it serves as her training ground for much bigger roles. "Wish granted po to. (Pero) I never demanded anything. 'Eto po ang ibinigay ng ABS-CBN sa akin; ipinagkatiwala; na kahit sinong artista maa-appreciate at hindi babalewalain." Unlike her MMK episode, she also clarifies that she did not personally choose the story concepts for I am KC. "First appearance ko po yun. Siyempre gusto ko sana comfortable ako para mapagbutihan ko yung trabaho. (But) even then, pumili lang kami sa mga (story concepts) na napili na nila (MMK production)." When asked who she is most comfortable working with in all her leading men, she did not choose those who are mentioned above. "Kay Empoy po. Masaya sila lahat katrabaho pero siya yung pinaka-cowboy. At the same time siya yung nakasundo ko right away. 'Espren' nga ang tawagan namin sa isa't-isa," KC revealed.
