Invasion Iowa (2005)

Reality series shot over 10 days, chronicling the production of William Shatner's fake feature film "Invasion Iowa," a science fiction hollywood spoof in which he claimed to be the star as well as writer, producer, and director. Unbeknownst to the town of Riverside, Iowa , the birthplace of "Star Trek"'s Captain James T. Kirk, until the last day of production, the entire project was a hoax, a cover for this reality television series on the making of the "movie." Shatner spoofed his own image by acting the part of Hollywood diva with a fake entourage which makes up the "cast" of the show.
