It's Your Move (1984)

The series, set in California, follows the comic adventures of Matt Burton, a 14-year-old wheeler dealer. The series deals with his attempts to break up his beautiful widowed mother's romance with Norman Lamb, a struggling writer Matt feels cannot provide her with the life of luxury he feels she deserves.
