Joaquin Bordado, which was originally created by comics maverick Carlo J. Caparas in the late 70s, is about the adventures of Joaquin Apacible (Robin Padilla), a sales agent cum police asset-assassin whose life and death changes when he becomes the chosen heir of the powerful tattoos to continue the mission of defending the good from evil. The story of Joaquin Bordado begins when the assassin gets a new mission to kill the head of an illegal arms dealer group. Joaquin vows that this will be his last mission. He wants to leave behind his dark secret of being an assassin of a special military service and live a peaceful life with his family and be a loving husband to his wife (Iza Calzado) who is unaware of his secret identity. Unknown to Joaquin, the truth is bound to unveil and his last mission will lead him to a series of unfortunate events. Joaquin is set to fulfill his mission when he discovers a secret that totally changed his life and all his plans. Then he finds himself behind bars. Yet despite what happened, he continues to hope that someday he will live a happy and peaceful life with his family. Inside the jail, Joaquin will meet Jilco (Pen Medina), an old mysterious man whose body is filled with tattoos. But while he meets new comrades in prison, he also meets new enemies to fight -- one of whom would be the cause of his death. But Joaquin won't die for long. Jilco, who comes from the land of the witches, will resurrect Joaquin -- the chosen heir who will continue the mission to defend the good from all evil with the help of powerful tattoos -- Miguela (cherubim), Aratu (rat), Asaru (snake), Kris (sword), Lamina (eagle), Jihasu (jaguar), Orago (dragon), and warrior girl Erenea (Kylie).
