Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space (1972)

The rock group, Josie and the Pussycats, is posing for publicity pictures near a spaceship at NASA when Alexandra, a member of the group, moves forward and accidentally knocks the others off balance. As they fall backward into the open capsule hatch, the blast-off mechanism is activated, sending the craft and its passengers into the far reaches of outer space. The series details the group's adventures as they try to return to Earth.
