Josie and the Pussycats (1970)

The members of an all-girl rock band seem to have a knack for crossing paths with power-mad lunatics and assorted other crazies along their concert route in this cartoon spinoff of characters who first appeared in Archie comics. Level-headed Josie is the singer-guitarist of the group, backed by ditsy drummer Melody and brainy tambourine player Valerie. Their entourage includes Josie's boyfriend, Alan, who also works as roadie for the band; Alexander Cabot III, their manager; Alexandra, Alexander'sscheming and untalented sister, who constantly tries to break up Josie and Alan; and Alexandra's cunning kitty cat, Sebastian.
