Judging Amy (1999)

Judge Amy Gray leaves New York City to become a judge in Hartford, Connecticut. Recently divorced and with a young daughter, Lauren, Amy moves in with her opinionated mother, Maxine, and free-spirited brother, Vincent. Based on the real-life story of Amy Brenneman's mother. Other characters include: court services officer Bruce Van Exel; Gillian Gray, Amy's uptight sister-in-law; and Peter Gray, her conservative brother.
