Just Cause (2002)

Alex DeMonaco is a single mom jailed for a crime she didn't commit. While incarcerated, she earns a law degree and once released, talks her way into an assistant's job at a noted law firm. Alex goes to work for a conservative lawyer whose passion for the law is re-ignited by Alex's dedication to those who have been abandoned by the system.
