Kate Loves a Mystery (1979)

A retitled and revamped version of "Mrs. Columbo," which aired on NBC in 1979. The story of Kate Callahan, the ex-wife of famed police detective Columbo. Now divorced, and having resumed her maiden name, Kate works as a newspaper reporter for the "Valley Advocate" in San Fernando, California, in which capacity she finds herself not only covering crimes for her paper but solving them as well.
