The average Pinoy male fears the very idea of having a vasectomy.

He is afraid he will lose his sexual urge and will no longer be able to have an erection after a vasectomy. He also believes it's a long and expensive operation.

Susan Enriquez clears up all these misconceptions in this Sunday's episode of Kay Susan Tayo ... when she features vasectomy patients who have just emerged from the birth control clinics of Marikina .

She also follows Joel, 37 and a father of nine, through the process of deciding whether or not to go through a vasectomy. Joel has already sent three of his children home to the province to be taken care of by his relatives. Unable to afford the education of his kids, he really cannot afford to have any more. But Joel still believes that birth control is the woman's job.
