L.A. Detectives will follow actual Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives, at work and at home. Unlike other crime documentaries, it does not show cops chasing guys across a backyard. It shows the audience how clues are meticulously pieced. It also shows the life behind these detectives such as taking care of their kids and going to soccer games.
