 The show begins in modern China. The Golden Dragon has died and a new Golden Dragon must be selected out of two individuals: Ang Leung and Ling Leung, fifteen year-old twins. They are both highly accomplished in martial arts and knowledgeable of the ancient philosophies of the Golden Dragon; both want this coveted title to protect the Temple of the Dragon and be the guardian of the temple. Ultimately, the brother is selected, and Ling, feeling rejected, partners with the evil Zodiac Master, a sorcerer who wishes to claim the power bands of all the figures of the Chinese zodiac. Zodiac Master does this to work towards reviving the Emperor Of The Darkest Yin, and manages to obtain four power bands. But, Zodiac Master gives Ling the Shadow Dragon band, formerly belonging to the Emperor. The Emperor's spirit orders Ling to kill Ang, but she cannot do it because of her love for Ang. Then, the Shadow Dragon band fuses with the Golden Dragon (yin &yang) band and the former becomes a second Golden Dragon band, meaning Ang and Ling are twin golden dragons. |
