Leya (Nadine Samonte) is a “numbali” who falls in love with a mortal, Emman (Oyo Boy Sotto). Emman and his sister Bumbum are orphans who are maltreated by their aunt Rosario (Bing Loyzaga). Leya’s father is a mortal. Maruba (Amy Perez) her mother, is a princess who was cursed after she chose to live with Gilbert (Jake Roxas) through the selfish scheme of Bararak (Janine Desiderio), the wicked sister of the king. The king left Leya under Fajita (Lindsay Custodio) and Eladio’s (Kier Legaspi) care after Maruba was banished. They raised her as if she were their own child. It became a secret until Bararak discovered it and did all she can do in order to kill the heiress to the throne. Leya is supposed to marry Bardok (Jordan Herrera) but she saw Emman and fell in love with him. Leya learned that she is Maruba’s daughter and that what happened to her parents is now happening to her and Emman. Kathlyn (Denise Laurel) is Gilbert’s daughter to Lorinda (Jennifer Sevilla), a “mangkukulam” who bewitched Gilbert in order to take him away from Maruba. She is Leya’s half sister. Kathlyn is in love with Emman. But when Emman told her that he is in love with Leya, she swore to do what it takes to get him back from Leya. With Bararak’s dark force present in the Numbayan, Leya must protect her. But she is in love with Emman and she’s willing to become a mortal for him. But her obligation as a princess is important to save the Numbayan. |
