Love, Sidney (1981)

A comedy about Sidney Shorr, a lonely middle-aged commercial artist, who establishes a platonic relationship with an aspiring young actress, and her daughter. When Laurie, the actress, is deserted by her husband, she moves in with Sidney, who raises her daughter, Patti, as his own.
