A comedy series about Marine Major John D. MacGillis and his life with his liberal wife Polly and her three daughters Elizabeth, Robin and Casey. In the final season, Polly and the girls take the Major's last name, Polly decides to run for mayor, Elizabeth buys her first car and General Craig relocates to Washington, D.C. with Lieutenant Holowachuk.
