Los Angeles police officer Daniel Henderson's life is shattered when his wife dies in a peculiar boating accident. In an attempt to find solace, he picks up his 12-year-old son Atticus, and moves to the small desert town of Manhattan, Arizona. Henderson takes on the job of town sheriff and becomes horrified when he realizes that the town and the job are vastly different from what he was led to believe by narcissistic and eccentric town mayor Jake Manhattan. Each week, Daniel finds himself embroiled in the town's latest mysteries as he discovers that nothing really is as it seems.The premiere episode finds Daniel trying to figure out why all of the neighborhood pets are missing their right hind legs. Future episodes involve sacred cows, greedy imposters, mysterious bikers, deadly swarms of bees and the magical relationship between the Saguaro cactus and eternal youth. |
