Afterwards, Adora talks to Margarita and assures her that Gary is just a friend and that she still loves their father. The following morning, Margarita apologizes to Gary for questioning his kindness. She asks him if he loves her mother, but Gary tells Margarita that her mother loves no one but their father. Since her mother is sick, Margarita asks Rodrigo to accompany her in delivering some laundry. On the way, Margarita sees his father with Jessica, his father's new wife. Margarita hugs his father, but Robert pushes his daughter away andtells her to leave. Margarita cries to Rodrigo after she learns the truth why his father left, but Rodrigo tells her that she should forget about her father. Margarita asks Rodrigo's help in fixing Gary with her mother. The kids accompany Gary to Adora, and Gary gives Adora a flower. But just when Adora is about to attend to Gary, she succumbs to her cough.
