Three children discover an alien named Meego and his spaceship after it crashes onto Earth. Alex, Maggie and Trip Parker pass him off to their single dad, Dr. Edward Parker, as the perfect nanny. Meego intends to leave when his spaceship is repaired, but he becomes emotionally attached to the kids, particularly to young Alex, and decides to remain on Earth as care-taker to the children.
