| | Monkey Turn V (2004) Kenji Hatano longs to be able to do the “monkey turn,” a high-speed turn used in motorboat racing, so he sets out to become a racer. At his graduation from the Yamato Motor-boat Racing Academy he declares that within three years he will become Japan's top racer, a promise he fulfills when he wins his first derby. After Kenji establishes his reputation as the top racer, the story continues with him fighting off the challenges of his juniors, struggling against his rival, Doguchi, and engaging in fearsome battles with veteran racers. Kenji continues to aim for the very pinnacle of motorboat racing, always striving to overcome whatever hurdles he comes up against and always speeding at full throttle across the water.
