Moonlighting (1985)

After being cleaned out by her no-good manager, model Maddie Hayes was about to sell one of her few remaining assets, the Blue Moon Detective Agency -- until snarky employee David Addison talked her out of it, saving his job and launching a new career for her. What followed was an often very witty show, with Maddie and David sniping at each other like the stars of an old screwball comedy. A lingering will-they-or-won't-they thread was resolved in the show's third season.
