Margot Kidder is the plucky wife and mother who literally picks herself up off the floor when her vindictive husband, threatened by her demand of divorce, strips their household of its possessions, closes out their bank account and cuts off her credit cards. James Farentino is a widower with whom she subsequently develops a caring relationship; David Ackroyd is the not-so-nice ex-hubby. An Emmy Award nomination went to Philip Lathrop for his cinematography.
