i were listening to your show with ted failon having the mom of iggy shared her stories and struggles. i were really moved by her dedication and optimistic view of life. also, i would like say kudos to Rated K. fantastic show you have! you are making ordinary stories extraordinaire!

in lieu to ms camella who posted regarding depression, the best thing that you could do so far for your child is let her see a clinical psychologist in tuguegarao. there are lot of them in your area. depression is something that could be fatal if not treated.

I'm a UP student who was assigned in Brgy. Buhaynasapa, San Juan Batangas for my community field work. I noticed that one of the problems in the barangay is Soil-transmitted Helminth (STH) infection among school children. Most of them go to school without shoes or even slippers. They roam around the school, under the scorching sun, with barefoot. Isn't that disheartening to see? And to think that because of that, they could have greater chances of acquiring STH infection, or what the people in the barangay refer to as "bulate sa tiyan".

In relation to this, I hope that the show could help each students in Grades 1 to 3 in having a pair of slippers. I'm hoping for your kind consideration.

We'll be in Buhaynasapa only upto next week, March21. I and my groupmates hope that you could help us during our stay in the barangay. But still, your help will always be welcomed anytime.
